We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Technician to join our team at Exponential-e Group. As a Data Centre Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support to our diverse client base, ensuring seamless service delivery and maintaining the highest standards of technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Hardware Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain server, network, and storage hardware, including cabling and patching.
- Remote Hands Services: Provide remote support for data centre operations, including power cycling equipment, replacing failed hardware components, and testing cabling.
- Cabling and Patching: Perform cabling and patching duties for various client requirements, ensuring efficient and reliable data centre operations.
- Decommissioning and Shipping: Decommission hardware and prepare for shipping, coordinating with third-party couriers to ensure timely and secure delivery.
- Audit and Documentation: Conduct regular audits of client cabling and hardware, producing detailed documentation to support our clients' needs.
- Security Clearance: Must meet SC and BPSS security clearance vetting and approval requirements.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of data centre operations and technical expertise.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Problem-Solving: Logical approach to troubleshooting, problem-solving, and fault diagnosis, with the ability to take ownership of issues and drive resolution.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining attention to detail and a flexible attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
