We are excited to announce an opening for a Band 6 Nursing Leader within our Neurorehabilitation Ward. This role offers numerous opportunities for professional growth and the development of leadership capabilities.

Our Neurorehabilitation unit is committed to providing comprehensive care and multidisciplinary rehabilitation for individuals recovering from brain injuries.
The successful candidate will collaborate with a dynamic and innovative multidisciplinary team, prioritizing safe, compassionate, and effective patient care, while closely monitoring patient experiences and outcomes.
This is a fast-paced and fulfilling environment. You will receive robust support from the Matron and Ward Manager, as well as another Band 6 Sister. Flexibility, resilience, and forward-thinking are essential qualities for this role.
Key Responsibilities
You will partner with the ward manager to oversee the daily operations of the ward, ensuring the delivery and continuous enhancement of services to meet performance metrics and quality benchmarks while providing exemplary patient-centered care. Responsibilities will include:
- People management
- Budget oversight
- Resource allocation
You will utilize a diverse range of interpersonal skills while collaborating with colleagues within and beyond the multidisciplinary team.
Candidates must demonstrate proven clinical expertise in this specialty, along with strong organizational and communication abilities. You will play a pivotal role in the training and development of the nursing staff.
Experience in service development and improvement is essential, as is a solid understanding of current healthcare policies and initiatives.

Education/Qualifications
Essential
- NMC Level One Registration.
- First level degree in nursing or a record of continuous personal, professional, and academic development.
- Alternatively, a Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE), Foundation Degree, or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least two years of demonstrable, equivalent specialist experience.
- Significant experience working with patients with neurological conditions.
