Senior Teaching Assistant Position

We are in search of a skilled Senior Teaching Assistant who is eager to contribute positively to the educational journey and growth of children.   • Work Schedule: Full-time, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Compensation: £13.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adopt a nurturing and composed demeanor to cultivate relationships with students.
  • Engage with families and caregivers to share insights regarding student progress.
  • Provide assistance to all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Lead whole class sessions in the absence of the Class Teacher.
  • Conduct small group interventions and Phonics sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Class Teacher and other professionals to enrich student learning experiences.
  • Support classroom management and implement effective behavior management techniques.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Participate in the broader school community and its activities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School.
  • Solid understanding of the EYFS, KS1, or KS2 curriculum.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Experience in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Strong knowledge of Safeguarding practices.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of a permanent role in the future.
