Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Lab Technician to join our team at TSG UK Solutions Ltd. As an Electronics Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in meeting our business requirements by accurately testing and repairing lab repairable items to ensure we consistently meet customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault Finding and Repair: Identify and repair items deemed repairable by the business, including dispenser control boards, desktop computer motherboards, payment terminals, and tools for field technicians.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments: Work with other departments to ensure project deadlines and SLAs can be met, where the lab plays a key role in stock availability.
  • Stock Management: Use our stock management system to ensure stock levels on repairable items are kept at optimum levels.
  • Lab Environment Maintenance: Maintain a tidy and safe lab environment.
  • Warehouse and Stock Control: Perform warehouse and stock control responsibilities.
  • Breakdown Trend Analysis: Identify breakdown trends and implement processes to allow field engineers to resolve issues.
  • No Fault Found Repairs: Track no fault found repairs and create reports that can be used by field teams to re-educate and/or upskill team members.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as deemed appropriate by Management.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience fault finding to component level.
  • Electronics Qualification: Electronics qualification or appropriate experience.
  • Computer Hardware and Software Skills: Computer hardware and software skills.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-Development: Ability to pursue self-development opportunities.
  • Workload Management: Work well under pressure and can prioritize workload.
Desirable Skills
  • Warehouse Experience: Experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Firmware and Software Loading: Experience in loading firmware, software, and operating systems to hard drives, SSDs, and integrated circuit chips.
