Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Orthopaedic Physiotherapist to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist clinician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to children and young people with complex orthopaedic conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with complex orthopaedic conditions.
  • Provide specialist physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, exercise programs, and education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community and DGH physiotherapy teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice and quality assurance initiatives within the department.
  • Supervise and educate junior physiotherapists and students to ensure high standards of practice.
  • Participate in research and audit projects to advance the field of paediatric orthopaedic physiotherapy.

Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in physiotherapy (MSc or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in paediatric orthopaedic physiotherapy.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of paediatric orthopaedic conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
