Meridian Business Support Limited is actively seeking a Culinary Specialist for a prominent National Private Care Provider.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Culinary Specialist, your primary duty will be to design and deliver daily wholesome meals for our residents, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and within budgetary constraints. You will also be responsible for maintaining all health, safety, and environmental standards. A collaborative spirit is essential, as you will be expected to inspire and lead your kitchen team.
Workdays can be discussed, but availability for alternate weekends is required.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Culinary Specialist, ideally within a healthcare or hospitality environment.
- Exceptional culinary skills and familiarity with diverse cooking methods.
- Understanding of nutritional principles and the capability to create menus that accommodate dietary needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Effective time management skills and the capacity to perform well under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols and practices.
- Ability to mentor and oversee kitchen personnel.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
Educational Requirements
Food Hygiene Certified Level 2, with a willingness to pursue Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications.
First Aid Certified.
NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering.
