About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Manager to join our team at Interface Recruitment UK. As a Test Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Management: Manage a team of system testers, including resource planning, workload allocation, appraisals, coaching & mentoring, performance reviews and management, and leadership.
  2. Testing Activities: Undertake a range of testing tasks such as test estimation, writing test plans and summary documents, defining test cases and executing tests.
  3. Defect Management: Own and administer the defect management process.
  4. Product Vision: Help develop the product vision.
  5. User Stories: Work closely with the business to analyse and document new user stories.
  6. Product Backlog: Maintain the product backlog for testing tasks.
  7. Sprint Planning: Participate in sprint planning sessions.
  8. Communication: Effectively communicate the business requirements to the project/scrum team.
  9. Release Planning: Assist in release planning and deployment.
  10. Impediments: Track and remove impediments to progress/delivery.
  11. Stakeholder Management: Keep in constant communication with the business and other key stakeholders.
  12. Stand-up Meetings: Facilitate and participate in daily stand-up/Scrum meetings.
  13. Key Performance Indicators: Monitor and drive key performance indicator metrics to assess the quality and efficiency of delivery.
  14. Test Environments: Manage the provisioning of test environments.
  15. User Acceptance Testing: Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the business and/or end user.
  16. Continuous Improvement: Proactively ensure continuous improvement using the PDCA cycle.
  17. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain trusted and lasting relationships with the business and customers.
Requirements
  1. Team Management Experience: Experience of managing a small-medium team of testers.
  2. Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Visual Studio 2013 or later.
  3. Agile Experience: Evidence of having worked in an agile/scrum environment.
  4. System Testing Experience: Previous experience of system testing.
  5. Leadership Skills: Excellent relationship builder including the ability to influence others.
  6. Departmental Coordination: Able to work across departments and coordinate work.
  7. IT Delivery Experience: Experience of working within a structured IT delivery team.
  8. Leadership Qualities: Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  9. Scrum Master Experience: Previous experience as a Scrum Master.
  10. Caseflow CRM Experience: Experience in testing Caseflow CRM system.
  11. Web Application Testing: Experience in testing web applications.
  12. Progress Development: Exposure to Progress development.
Qualifications

A relevant qualification in Test Management would be advantageous. For example; ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Manager.
