Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Manage a team of system testers, including resource planning, workload allocation, appraisals, coaching & mentoring, performance reviews and management, and leadership.
- Testing Activities: Undertake a range of testing tasks such as test estimation, writing test plans and summary documents, defining test cases and executing tests.
- Defect Management: Own and administer the defect management process.
- Product Vision: Help develop the product vision.
- User Stories: Work closely with the business to analyse and document new user stories.
- Product Backlog: Maintain the product backlog for testing tasks.
- Sprint Planning: Participate in sprint planning sessions.
- Communication: Effectively communicate the business requirements to the project/scrum team.
- Release Planning: Assist in release planning and deployment.
- Impediments: Track and remove impediments to progress/delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Keep in constant communication with the business and other key stakeholders.
- Stand-up Meetings: Facilitate and participate in daily stand-up/Scrum meetings.
- Key Performance Indicators: Monitor and drive key performance indicator metrics to assess the quality and efficiency of delivery.
- Test Environments: Manage the provisioning of test environments.
- User Acceptance Testing: Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the business and/or end user.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively ensure continuous improvement using the PDCA cycle.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain trusted and lasting relationships with the business and customers.
- Team Management Experience: Experience of managing a small-medium team of testers.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Visual Studio 2013 or later.
- Agile Experience: Evidence of having worked in an agile/scrum environment.
- System Testing Experience: Previous experience of system testing.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent relationship builder including the ability to influence others.
- Departmental Coordination: Able to work across departments and coordinate work.
- IT Delivery Experience: Experience of working within a structured IT delivery team.
- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Scrum Master Experience: Previous experience as a Scrum Master.
- Caseflow CRM Experience: Experience in testing Caseflow CRM system.
- Web Application Testing: Experience in testing web applications.
- Progress Development: Exposure to Progress development.
A relevant qualification in Test Management would be advantageous. For example; ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Manager.
