Principal Engineering Geologist/Principal Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineering Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer to join our Key Geosolutions business. This role will involve travel to various quarry sites across the UK and will be based anywhere in mainland UK.
As a Principal Engineering Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer, you will lead or assist in the delivery of geotechnical input to projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and designing site investigations and mineral exploration ground investigations.
- Working in multi-disciplinary project teams to complete large-scale projects.
- Supporting project delivery teams to meet client needs while maintaining sound financial and programme management and control.
- Assuming responsibility for a range of projects for a diverse range of clients.
- Providing technical support for all stages of projects.
- Training, coaching, and mentoring junior members of the team and non-technical staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Relevant experience in the industry and chartership with an appropriate professional body.
- A first degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a relevant earth science, and an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering.
- A strong working knowledge of digital terrain modelling software, ideally LSS.
- A thorough understanding of legislation and regulations in relation to the UK quarrying industry.

- Proven ability and confidence with report writing and presentation skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to travel for work.
