As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee the delivery of all modelling and architectural artifacts. Your role will ensure that key program objectives concerning cost, schedule, and availability are integrated into the comprehensive systems model. You will engage with essential stakeholders within BAE Systems, the Ministry of Defence, and critical suppliers.Your responsibilities will include:
- Fostering the development and well-being of your engineering team while supporting the long-term capability growth of the Systems Engineering discipline.
- Collaborating with other key delivery teams to ensure successful program delivery.
- Leading the architectural modelling team to establish and implement the program's approach to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Managing and developing team members while overseeing engineering support contracts to facilitate effective project delivery.
- Working closely with customers to establish a guiding vision for our model-based systems engineering approach across the program.
Required Skills and Experience:
- BSc degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Demonstrated effective leadership qualities with a proven track record in management.
- Experience managing technical specialists.
- Proven expertise in systems and model-based systems engineering.
- Experience in supplier and customer engagement.
Desirable Qualifications:
- MSc in an engineering or STEM-related discipline.
- Experience within the defense sector.
- Knowledge of submarines domain.
