Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Technician to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting individuals to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Occupational Therapists in the provision of assessment, treatment, and intervention for individuals accessing our Early Intervention Psychosis service.
- Use technical and creative skills to assist in the provision of therapeutic occupations for individuals and groups of patients.
- Responsible for prioritizing tasks and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel across sites to work and carry out clinical tasks, including community, patient homes, and third sector services.
- Quality Credit Framework qualification at level 3 NVQ or OCN related to Health & Social Care.
- Documented evidence of participation in training activities.
- Understanding of the role of occupational therapy and relevant experience working within health, social, or teaching settings.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work single-handedly with individuals and/or groups.
- Ability to travel and carry out clinical tasks, with a flexible approach to workload and prioritization.
