Job Title: Utilities Operator

Our client, a leading international manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Utilities Operator to join their rapidly expanding team.

Job Summary:

The Utilities Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining all utilities equipment and systems independently, under the general supervision of the Utilities Senior Operator. The successful candidate will ensure a steady supply of water to the CHP demineralisation storage tanks, ensure good quality water is supplied to the boilers within parameters, and maintain effective housekeeping practices in the CHP plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a steady supply of water to the CHP demineralisation storage tanks
  • Ensure good quality water is supplied to the boilers within parameters
  • Maintain effective housekeeping practices in the CHP plant
  • Write SOPs and risk assessments for the water treatment plant with supervision of the senior plant operator
  • Carry out routine sampling to support plant performance
  • Work on an on-call rota to support business needs
  • Ensure all daily checks for the plant are completed and any defects are escalated
Requirements:
  • OND and GCSE certification
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient IT skills
  • Team player
