Postdoctoral Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join our team at Ocean Science Consulting Limited. As a key member of our research team, you will assist our Managing Director, Dr. Victoria Todd, in completing scientific peer-reviewed papers for submission to top journals.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Dr. Todd to finalize and submit a diverse range of scientific manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals;
- Conduct advanced statistical modeling and data analysis using R, Python, and other relevant tools;
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze and present marine biological data sets;
- Contribute to the development of new research projects and experimental designs;
- Prepare and present research findings at conferences and seminars;
- Assist in the supervision and mentoring of graduate students and research assistants;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant ethical policies, guidelines, and regulations.
- PhD in Marine Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field;
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals, including at least three first-author papers;
- Demonstrated experience with marine mammal acoustics and statistical modeling;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Legal eligibility to work in the UK.
- Experience with marine fieldwork and data collection;
- Proficiency with GIS and statistical modeling software;
- Knowledge of marine conservation and management practices;
- Proficiency in additional data analysis tools and programming languages.
