We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to join our team at Wardell Armstrong. As an Ecologist, you will play a crucial role in our environmental planning, archaeology, arboriculture, landscape architecture, and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ecological field surveys and analyze survey results to inform project decisions.
  • Develop and implement ecological impact assessments, mitigation strategies, and habitat management plans.
  • Provide technical input and support to internal offices and clients, including project management and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop emerging workstreams, such as Biodiversity Net Gain.
  • Prepare fee proposals and assist in the development of new business areas.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in ecology or a related discipline.
  • Protected species survey licenses and experience in protected species mitigation licensing.
  • Associate or Full member of CIEEM or other relevant institute.
  • Strong understanding of habitat survey and protected species survey.
  • Excellent report writing skills and competent GIS skills.
  • Experience in managing ecology projects to completion.
