We are seeking an experienced IT MES Application Support professional to join our team at Fortescue Zero. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our MES application and software deployed across our estate.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day troubleshooting and support for user-reported issues, system monitoring, and job handling.
- Take ownership of application-related support incidents and resolve them in a timely manner to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the application vendor and support providers to resolve issues that cannot be resolved internally.
- Support application configurations and maintain Opcenter through regular system management and upgrades.
- Ensure licenses are up to date and consumption is monitored.
- Deploy new software versions to end users in conjunction with Operations and Service Delivery teams.
- Identify opportunities for application rationalization and cost savings.
- Provide user training and materials as needed.
- Proactively identify potential application issues and work with Operations, Infrastructure, and Service Delivery teams to resolve them.
- Maintain awareness of cyber security best practices and ensure applications are secure at all times.
- Manage and maintain application interfaces, exports, and imports.
- Analyze data from systems and produce technical and business reports for IT management and departmental stakeholders.
- Translate complex business requirements into application solutions with technical colleagues and business stakeholders.
- Assist the IT Management team in ensuring IT best practices and business policies are followed.
- Drive and execute technical activities related to the corporate MES system, including designing, developing, maintaining, and documenting the system and related tools.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced IT professional with a strong background in MES application support. The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience in a similar or IT-related role.
- Experience working within a Microsoft enterprise environment.
- Experience working in the engineering, automotive, or motorsport industries (desirable).
- A degree-level education in an IT or related technical discipline (desirable).
- A team player with a willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
- ITIL Foundation qualification (desirable).
