Cost Estimator

Full-Time Position: 37.5 Hours per Week
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Cost Estimator to become a part of our esteemed organization, Lovell, in the East Anglia region.
As a key member of our Preconstruction team, reporting directly to the Chief Estimator, you will play a vital role in delivering commercial support to the estimating division across the region. Your responsibilities will involve cultivating and nurturing relationships with various stakeholders, including PQS, Design Teams, Supply Chain partners, and internal project teams.
We seek a candidate who embodies our commitment to excellence in project execution while thriving in a collaborative and dynamic work environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation with precision.
- Ensuring the accuracy and quality of all deliverables, aligning with project specifications.
- Conducting land appraisals and cash flow analyses to explore optimal value options.
- Collaborating effectively within a team or independently on bids.
- Presenting detailed net cost estimates during bid evaluations, emphasizing potential risks and opportunities.
- Staying informed about market trends to maintain updated cost data.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
- Verifying that subcontractor bids comply with Lovell's site standards.
- Conducting site assessments for new projects and ongoing developments.
- Maintaining a client-centric approach by understanding and addressing key project requirements.
- Adhering to Lovell's operational procedures and promoting our organizational standards consistently.
Ideal candidates will possess relevant experience in a similar capacity, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Familiarity with estimating software such as ASTA, Evaluate, and COINS is advantageous but not mandatory.
A valid driving license is essential for this role.
