Position Overview

Full-Time Role: 37.5 Hours per Week

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Estimator to become a vital part of our operations within the Lovells East Anglia region.

Reporting directly to the Chief Estimator, you will be integrated into a dynamic team of dedicated Preconstruction experts, providing essential commercial assistance to the estimating department across the region while fostering and nurturing relationships with PQS, Design Teams, Supply Chain, and internal project units.

We seek an individual who embodies our enthusiasm for the projects we undertake, while also thriving in a collaborative and industrious team atmosphere. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation with precision.
  • Ensuring that all outputs are accurate, of high quality, and align with project requirements.
  • Conducting land appraisal analyses and cash flow assessments to evaluate optimal value options.
  • Working effectively within a team or independently on bids.
  • Presenting net cost estimates during bid evaluations, identifying risks and opportunities for the organization.
  • Staying informed about fluctuating market conditions and maintaining updated cost data.
  • Providing support and mentorship to junior staff members as needed.
  • Verifying that recommended subcontractor bids comply with Lovell's site standards.
  • Conducting site visits for new prospects and ongoing developments.
  • Maintaining a client-centric approach by understanding key project requirements and fulfilling their objectives.
  • Adhering to Lovell procedures and consistently promoting Lovell Way Standards.

Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in a similar capacity, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Familiarity with estimating software such as ASTA, Evaluate, and COINS is advantageous but not mandatory.

A valid driving license is essential for this role.
