Job Title: Site Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Newbery Recycling Limited. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of our recycling site, ensuring that all staff are working efficiently and effectively to meet our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist customers with weighbridge operations and provide excellent customer service.
  2. Coordinate the daily activities of the site, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  3. Supervise and motivate the site team, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles.
  4. Monitor and enforce the company's health and safety policy, ensuring that all site activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner.
  5. Implement an effective traffic management plan for the site, ensuring that all vehicles are managed safely and efficiently.
  6. Monitor daily production of materials for sale, ensuring that all materials are of high quality and meet our business standards.
  7. Quality control all materials ready for sale, ensuring that they meet our business standards.
  8. Periodically review and update safe working procedures and risk assessments, ensuring that all site activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner.
  9. Ensure that the site is compliant with all relevant regulations and legislation, including the EA Permit and FPP.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working in a similar role, preferably in the recycling industry.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of motivation and enthusiasm.

Working Hours: 7am - 6pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: £35,000 per annum
