We are seeking a dedicated Technician to support our innovative Layered Reality team.

Our approach combines live performance, including actors and elaborate sets, with advanced digital technologies such as virtual reality, projection mapping, and holography, alongside sensory experiences that engage sight, sound, smell, touch, and movement.


Role Overview

As a Technician, you will play a vital role in bringing our immersive experiences to life. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic and eager to contribute to our dynamic environment. Your self-motivation and positive attitude will be essential in ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable experience from the moment they enter our venue. You will collaborate with the Back of House (BOH) team to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations. During live performances, you will manage the master show control system, which encompasses traditional technologies like lighting, sound, and audiovisual systems, as well as immersive-specific technologies. Excellent communication skills are crucial, as you will relay important information to both cast and crew.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within the BOH team to execute various tasks.
  • Complete daily and weekly show reports.
  • Operate and maintain lighting, sound, video projection, pyrotechnics, and automation systems throughout the venue.
  • Ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
  • Handle the master show control system and troubleshoot technical issues swiftly during live operations.
  • Support the team in creating an immersive experience for our guests.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of technical disciplines, including audio, video, lighting, timecode, Dante, and QLab operation. While a background in technical theatre is preferred, prior experience in immersive theatre is not mandatory, as comprehensive in-house training will be provided.

  • Familiarity with Virtual Reality technologies.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Awareness of health and safety standards.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Confidence in working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Conversational proficiency in English.
