Our client, based in Fife, are recruiting for a Technical Superintendent to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. As a Technical Superintendent you will be responsible for the maintenance and technical operations of a fleet of vessels plant and machinery to the highest standards.
Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a pertinent technical field.
Experience in a previous technical role where you have been responsible for technical management of a vessel.
Workboat experience and workboat code knowledge (preferred).
Understanding of marine regulations, classification rules, guidance, industry best practice and quality standards.
Be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in all aspects of marine operations, including technical maintenance and overhaul overhauls/dockings and projects
Liaise with clients and company management to devise and elucidate maintenance procedures and strategies, ensuring alignment with appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), where applicable.
Ensure that newly acquired vessels conform to commercial and statutory standards, striving to ensure their suitability for their intended purposes, timely delivery, and effective integration into service.
Provide regular reports to senior management on individual projects as needed.
Contribute to the enhancement of the Company’s technical knowledge base, thereby supporting its growth and operational efficiency.
Participate in training activities as necessary to meet Company regulations and comply with legislative requirements.
