Job Title: Civil Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Engineer to join our design team at NES Fircroft. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing technical documentation to high professional standards within challenging programmes and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and/or check design calculations
  • Supervise production of and check drawings/specifications for compliance with calculations
  • Prepare Technical Specifications/Reports/Scopes of Work
  • Prepare Technical Analysis of proposals provided by equipment manufacturers and contractors
  • Co-ordinate/liaise with other Engineering disciplines
  • Interpret Vendor drawings/information
  • Work to design budgets and programmes
  • Comply with Company Quality Management Systems
  • Report to Lead Civil Engineer
Requirements:
  • University degree minimum
  • Additional equivalent Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status preferred
  • Background in Heavy Engineering/Chemical/Petrochemical Industries preferred in relation to reinforced concrete foundations, sub-structures, aqueous retaining structures and general infrastructure works
Preferred Skills:
  • English Language – written, spoken and technical
  • Specification/report writing (preferred but not essential)
  • Awareness of and compliance with Company's Quality Management System procedures and requirements
  • Ability to design/work to Eurocodes British Standards and Codes of Practice
  • IT literate
  • Experience using Tekla
  • Design/analysis software usage (preferably ROBOT & TEDDS but not essential)
