Job Title: Finance Administrator

Join Apetito Limited, the UK's leading food supplier to the health and social care sectors, as a Finance Administrator. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic finance team, responsible for a wide range of duties covering purchase ledger, financial accounting, and other areas of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day administration of various functions within the finance department.
  • Answering telephone calls from suppliers and customers, responding to their enquiries, and providing information in a timely manner.
  • Coding in-direct spend purchase invoices/credits with the appropriate codes and cost centre reference numbers.
  • Entering direct spend purchase invoices/credits onto the SAP system with high accuracy.
  • Communicating with suppliers to resolve issues arising from invoices received.
  • Managing the flow of invoices/credit notes through our P2P system and working alongside suppliers and the business.
  • Producing weekly payment runs and compiling necessary supporting documentation.
  • Analysis of key expenses ahead of Tax and Year-end audit.
  • Assisting in cashflow forecasting reporting.
  • Processing of bank payments/receipts.
  • Utilising various software packages and processes to ensure anti-fraud measures are carried out to the highest standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working within a busy finance office environment.
  • Planning and organisation skills, with the ability to plan and organise daily/weekly tasks, prioritise appropriately, and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Upholding principles and values, delivering expected results while maintaining the highest standards and following internal procedures.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and fluently at all levels and express opinions in a clear and constructive manner.
  • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations, bringing together all required qualities to deliver results while exceeding the expectations of both internal and external customers.
  • Building relationships, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook packages.
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy.
Desirable:
  • Experience of working with SAP in a finance role.
  • Adaptable to change, with the ability to adapt to changes quickly and positively, accept new ideas, and look for the positives in new situations.
  • Learning and development, with the ability to make use of day-to-day experiences to further understanding of the role and look to gain relevant training where possible.
  • Flexibility, with the ability to adopt a flexible approach to working to cope with day-to-day setbacks and obstacles while maintaining a positive outlook during periods of high pressure.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to analyse all forms of data, including numerical and verbal, to reach rational judgements and form workable solutions to tasks and problems.
  • Business studies or finance qualifications.
  • Part or fully AAT qualified.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access to an advanced level.
