About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced neurology trainee or post-CCT neurologist to join our team as a Clinical Fellow in Epilepsy at North Bristol NHS Trust. This is a one-year training position that will provide the successful candidate with specialist knowledge and skills in the field of epilepsy and epilepsy surgery assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist care to patients with epilepsy, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex epilepsy cases.
  • Conduct epilepsy surgery assessments and participate in the interpretation of scalp videotelemetry and intracranial stereo EEG recordings.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with epilepsy, including pharmacological treatment, neuromodulation procedures, and other interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with epilepsy.
  • Contribute to research and audit activities, and participate in service improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • MB BS (or equivalent) degree.
  • GMC registration.
  • ALS up to date.
  • Completed pre-registration year (or equivalent outside UK).
  • Recent experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as SHO (or equivalent).
