About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Consultant Dermatologist to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our dermatology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a first-class clinical service to patients with skin conditions, including skin cancer and advanced skin surgery.
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other support staff, to deliver excellent patient care.
- Conduct clinical practice in accordance with the highest ethical standards, adhering to GMC guidance and national and local infection control policies.
- Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Support the development of our services, including the establishment of new clinics and the expansion of existing ones.
- Contribute to the education and training of junior staff, including medical students and junior doctors.
Person Specification
- Full GMC Registration
- Eligible for entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or CCT within 6 months of interview
- Minimum of English Level 2 (GCSE grade C or equivalent), ILETS, or graduate of a UK Medical School
- Wide knowledge and experience in Dermatology
