About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Dermatologist to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our dermatology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a first-class clinical service to patients with skin conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex cases.
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other support staff, to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of our dermatology services, including the design and implementation of new treatments and procedures.
- Participate in teaching and training activities, including the supervision of junior doctors and medical students.
- Engage in research and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration and a minimum of English Level 2 (GCSE grade C or equivalent).
- Wide knowledge and experience in dermatology, including surgical experience in advanced skin grafts and flaps.
- Previous NHS experience and experience of teaching.
- Audit participation and a commitment to clinical governance.
- Upholds and models the Trust values of caring, safe, respect, and making a difference.
