Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance & Office Manager to join our client, a well-established construction business. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the financial accuracy of the company by processing transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Process payroll and CIS statements via Sage
  • Raise sales invoices and statements
  • Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Prepare tax returns and submit VAT
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Support senior management team with administration duties
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and reports
  • Prepare month-end reports

Requirements:

  • AAT qualified or equally qualified by experience within a similar role
  • Familiar with using Sage software
  • Knowledge of CIS
  • Planning and organisational abilities, able to prioritise workload accordingly and work to deadlines timely
  • Ability to implement and improve processes
  • Proficient across Microsoft platforms, Excel in particular
  • A key team player who can engage and develop strong relationships
