About the Role
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our team in General Psychiatry. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing medical support to patients with mental illness, working closely with a large team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within both inpatient and outpatient settings, across the range of mental health services within the Trust.
- Provide medical support to the mental health team, working under the supervision of a senior psychiatrist.
- Manage clinical complexity and uncertainty, making decisions based on evidence and experience.
- Meet duties under the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
- Work cooperatively as part of a team, delegate appropriately, and see tasks through to completion.

Requirements
- Recognized basic Medical Degree.
- Full GMC Registration with license to practice.
- Excellent knowledge in specialty.
- Excellent clinical skills using biopsychosocial perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
- Makes decisions based on evidence and experience, including the contribution of others.
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.
- Able to work cooperatively as part of a team, delegate appropriately, and see tasks through to completion.
