About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Solicitor to join our team at Tuckers Solicitors in Medway, Kent. As a leading criminal law firm, we offer a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for a solicitor looking to take their career to the next level.

Main Responsibilities

  • Represent clients at police stations and in criminal proceedings, including court appearances, trials, and hearings.
  • Liaise with clients, counsel, defendants, and other parties to ensure effective case management.
  • Collate and review documentation and evidence to build strong cases.
  • Conduct advocacy and litigation to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Manage a caseload efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified as a solicitor with a clean and valid practicing certificate.
  • Excellent advocacy and litigation skills, with the ability to conduct complex cases.
  • Strong client care skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Knowledge of the Legal Aid system and experience working with private clients.
