About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Administrator to join our dedicated education administration team at Quay View School. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our administration functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Line manage a small administration team to ensure administrative tasks are completed to a high standard and to deadline.
  • Administrative Operations: Ensure the effective operation of administrative processes and procedures, prioritizing tasks as necessary.
  • Process Development: Assist in the development and maintenance of administrative processes and systems, including record keeping and filing systems.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including site-based staff and central services functions.
  • Recruitment Support: Provide administrative support to managers during the recruitment process, undertaking pre-employment checks and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Financial Administration: Oversee financial and accounting administration, including invoicing, petty cash, and transaction reconciliation.
  • Payroll Management: Process local payroll, ensuring accurate and timely updates to systems.
  • External Liaison: Liaise with external stakeholders, including parents/carers and local authorities, to arrange visits and meetings.
  • Admissions Support: Facilitate and coordinate the organization of new pupil admissions and transitions, including new starter packs and orientation.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience of leading teams and taking a lead role in specific processes or pieces of work.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to fulfill the requirements of the role and contribute positively to the effective running of the administration function.
  • Technical Skills: Highly skilled and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management and prioritization skills to manage a varied and busy workload.
  • Payroll Experience: Experience of overseeing payroll and human resource/employee relations functions.
  • Flexibility: Ability to demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to changing needs.
