Job Summary

The Priory Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Riverview, a residential service providing personalized support for adults with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of support workers to deliver high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Manage stressful and challenging situations calmly, setting a positive example for staff and residents.
  • Make informed decisions on a daily basis, prioritizing resident needs and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Provide guidance and development support to team members, promoting a culture of learning and progress.
  • Conduct meaningful supervisions and lead team meetings as required.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar setting, with a track record of leading a team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Ability to use a computer and possess a full clean driving license (preferred).
  • Understanding of Autism and challenging behavior, with experience in using Positive Behaviour Support approaches.
  • Strong administrative skills, including managing individual finances and the service budget.
  • Ability to meet Quality Performance Indicators (QPI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the service.
  • Capacity to support the service in performance management and the disciplinary process.
