Position Overview


As a Senior Maintenance Supervisor within our Inhouse Maintenance Service (IMS), you will take charge of providing expert technical guidance and assurance to a team of Multi Skilled Technicians (MST). Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of installation, repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment services to our clients and their residences across a designated geographical region.


In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments to oversee technical operations, monitor performance, and promote positive behaviors among the team, ensuring that all repairs and related tasks are completed to a high standard and within the expected timeframe, thereby meeting customer satisfaction.


You will assist the Team Manager in effectively communicating and promoting health, safety, and welfare issues within the team, ensuring that MSTs are fully aware of their responsibilities and adhere to our established policies and procedures.


Additionally, you will identify potential risks and opportunities within your service area and work alongside the Team Manager to ensure these are effectively communicated, inspected, and addressed within the team.

This position is field-based in the Torquay and South Hams area, and we are open to considering applications from individuals seeking flexible working arrangements.


Candidate Requirements
To qualify for the Senior Maintenance Supervisor role, you should possess the following:

  • Experience working in a team within the construction or maintenance industry, or hold a relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship.
  • A solid understanding of health and safety regulations and requirements related to construction and maintenance activities, or relevant health and safety training (CITB SSSTS, IOSH, or equivalent).
  • The ability to provide constructive feedback and challenge appropriately.
  • Strong self-reflection skills regarding performance and behaviors.
  • Excellent relationship-building and rapport skills.
  • A clear understanding of the essential skills required to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • A valid UK driving license.
