This is an exceptional opportunity to become a pivotal member of Royal London as we embark on establishing a specialized team dedicated to overseeing and executing migration initiatives throughout the organization. We seek a highly skilled professional with a proven track record in managing various migration projects, preferably within the Life and Pensions sector, who is eager to leverage their expertise to influence our operational methodologies.

Your primary objective will be to ensure that business objectives are well-defined and that the corresponding solutions are implemented effectively, enabling the organization to achieve its goals within the stipulated timeframes, budgetary constraints, and quality benchmarks.

You will assume comprehensive responsibility for orchestrating and guiding the entire change management process for projects that encompass both business and technology-driven migrations, thereby establishing a replicable strategy and methodology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete project management lifecycle for migration initiatives within the organization.
  • Formulate and execute detailed migration strategies, including scope definition, resource distribution, and documentation.
  • Engage with technical teams to guarantee smooth integration and minimal disruption to business functions during migration processes.
  • Perform risk evaluations and devise mitigation plans to address potential challenges and obstacles that may arise during migrations.
  • Track and assess project progress, identify deviations from the established plan, and implement necessary corrective measures to maintain project timelines.
  • Collaborate with essential stakeholders to ensure their needs are incorporated into migration strategies and effectively communicated to project teams.
  • Administer project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure adherence to financial parameters.
  • Establish a migration framework that includes a toolkit comprising templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to enhance and develop these capabilities within the organization.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience in leading intricate migration projects with cross-functional teams across various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in utilizing ETL or ELT migration tools and managing staging areas for data translation and loading.
  • Ability to convey complex data requirements to a business audience, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Proven capability to navigate ambiguous environments and collaborate across multiple domains to achieve shared business or technical objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and drive change, facilitating enhanced performance within a cross-functional setting.
  • Skilled in developing and presenting progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to diverse audiences, including project teams, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain trusted advisory relationships with project stakeholders and sponsors.
