{"Job Title": "Tax Manager Position", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to lead our tax advisory department and provide expert tax planning and advisory services to our clients. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and steering the growth of a new department, championing service excellence and professional development across a dynamic team, and building trusted client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish and lead a tax advisory department within a thriving and ambitious firm
* Undertake tax planning and advisory work as a trusted advisor to a variety of clients
* Deliver employment tax assignments
* Manage a significant portfolio of clients, monitoring the commercial aspects of portfolio management
* Mentor junior staff, including reviewing work and providing training
* Monitor team performance, identifying knowledge gaps and providing training as needed
* Work directly with Directors and Partners to ensure deadlines and fee recovery targets are met
* Building trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
* Keeping up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team

Requirements:

* CTA/ATT qualified or part qualified with impressive tax experience within UK practice
* Excellent knowledge of personal tax compliance processes, issues, and regulations
* Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
* Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
* Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
* Commercial business acumen
* People management experience with track record of mentoring junior staff
