The Role

As a Data Engineer on our Portfolio Data Integration team, you will play a critical role in expanding and improving our data platform. You will execute the development of new data integrations and maintenance of existing processes to ensure seamless data ingestion and analysis. Your expertise will be instrumental in adding automation and functionality to our distributed data pipelines, enabling us to dramatically increase the throughput of data ingestion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines to support the ingestion, analysis, and enrichment of financial data
  • Partner with business data analysts to build pipelines that support data analysis and enrichment
  • Improve existing pipelines to increase data throughput and accuracy
  • Develop and maintain process controls and metrics to ensure quality standards and organizational expectations
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to design, test, and implement new processes and tooling features
  • Identify areas of automation opportunities and implement improvements
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of professional data engineering/analysis experience
  • Experience with object-oriented programming (PySpark/Python)
  • Knowledge of SQL or relational database concepts
  • Experience in data modeling, visualization, and ETL pipelines
  • Knowledge of financial concepts (e.g., stocks, bonds, etc.) is helpful but not necessary
