About the Role

Semco Maritime is seeking a highly skilled SMART Room Instrumentation Specialist to join our onshore team. This position reports directly to our management team and is embedded within the client's Field Operations or delegated authority (Smart Room Leader).

The Instrumentation Specialist will work in a collaborative environment with the client, providing day-to-day discipline support for the Platform/site. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing expertise activities on 3 assets, providing technical support, and ensuring system integrity is preserved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the point of contact for the site offshore team in the discipline of instrumentation
  • Oversee expertise activities on 3 assets, ensuring that all planned work scopes are identified and included in short and long-term asset plans
  • Provide day-to-day discipline support for the Platform/site, including solving technical issues and maintaining close links with Technical Authorities
  • Challenging maintenance activities and applying risk-based techniques to optimize maintenance activities and periodicities
  • Ensure that instrument operations are performed in accordance with good discipline practices and procedures
  • Assist the Site Representative and Offshore Supervisor to resolve instrumental equipment problems
  • Coordinate vendor requirements to support discipline equipment planned and corrective maintenance activities
  • Maintain close liaison with reliability engineers and other Tier 2/Onshore Instrumentation Engineers to support reliability improvement programs, RCM analyses, and maintenance strategy development
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes and investigations
  • Assist in the performance of equipment maintenance and spares reviews
  • Ensure satisfactory close-out of all actions identified in all work scopes
  • Proactively support and promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and requirements
  • Have knowledge and understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and SAP
  • Regularly liaise with key stakeholders to review and update discipline content in SAP
  • Initiate Management of Change work scopes developed through the maintenance process
  • Provide high-level technical support in RFM works (non-maintenance)
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar Instrumentation Engineer role
  • Degree-qualified
  • SAP user
