Project Planning Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Planning Engineer to join our team at aaa | consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the development and control of project planning and scheduling for appointed project work within our projects department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project plans, assessing project status throughout the life cycle
  • Establish and monitor cost breakdown structures (CBS) and analyze cost performance
  • Review cost and schedule performance, communicate findings, and evaluate project status against schedule baselines and cost baselines
  • Integrate project risks into the project schedule and perform routine risk analysis
  • Ensure all project documentation is tied into the master register and stored within the relevant teams room for the project
  • Conduct offshore and site visits to aid in the estimating process and during the execution phase of projects

Requirements

  • Knowledge of maintenance management principles
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Office, Project, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong experience with Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project
  • Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management systems
  • Experience using integrated Work Management Systems
  • Understanding of Association of Project Management (APM) methodologies and accredited Project Fundamentals Qualification (APM) certified
  • Ability to manage volumes of data and create slim-line reporting via pivot tables

Working with Us

The Project Planning Engineer will work closely with the Projects Controls Lead & the Project Manager, ensuring compliance with the Company's Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Quality and Energy Management Policy and taking an active role in compliance and improvement of the Management Systems.
