Group Management Accountant

Michael Page Finance is seeking an experienced Group Management Accountant to join their expanding team in Milton Keynes. This pivotal role offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your group accounting expertise and play a crucial role in driving financial excellence across the organisation.

About the Role

The Group Management Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Managing the group consolidation process and preparing consolidated financial statements
  • Leading the coordination of external audits and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Developing and maintaining robust financial controls and processes across the group
  • Providing expert tax advice and overseeing tax planning initiatives
  • Producing insightful financial analysis and reports for senior management
  • Collaborating with various departments to drive process improvements and efficiency's
  • Supporting M&A activities with financial due diligence and integration planning

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience
  • Strong background in group accounting within a complex, multi-entity structure
  • In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations
  • Previous experience in external audit, preferably within the FMCG sector
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial reporting systems
  • Able to commute to Milton Keynes a couple of days a week
