About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Howden Group as a Group Accountant, where you will play a key role in supporting the Group Reporting Manager in preparing statutory annual financial statements and external reporting packs.

As a Group Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of periodic reporting tasks, including preparation of quarterly regulatory reports to the FCA, and will have the opportunity to get involved in ad-hoc projects.

You will work closely with the wider Finance team and key contacts around the Group to develop strong working relationships and ensure compliance with FCA regulations and Financial Services requirements.

We are looking for a qualified or professional qualification finalist (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong accounting and financial reporting background and previous experience of operating as an Accountant within a Financial Services environment.

We offer a 12-month contract with the opportunity to work in a hybrid role, currently based in our Bedford office until November when we will move to Milton Keynes.
