Group Financial Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to join our team at Get Recruited (UK) Ltd. As a Group Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for leading a small team and overseeing the financial accounting functions across multiple legal entities and the group consolidated accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a small team of financial accountants and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial accounts and group consolidated accounts.
  • Prepare group year-end and interim financial statements in line with accounting standards and internal policy.
  • Work closely with the internal auditor to resolve accounting queries and ensure the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee and sign off on monthly management accounts prior to presentation to the CFO/Board.
  • Assist with payroll across the group of companies and prepare VAT, Corporation Tax, and other tax submissions.
  • Prepare presentations for group board meetings and work closely with key stakeholders in various finance teams across the group.
  • Review processes and systems to create efficiencies throughout the department.
Requirements:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Experience of leading a small team and group accounting and consolidated accounting.
  • Strong understanding of tax, including Corporation Tax.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with various director and C-level stakeholders.
  • Intermediate level or above with MS Excel and PowerPoint, with experience of PowerBI an advantage.
