Design Office Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Office Manager to join our team at Premier Technical Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of a small team of Mechanical Design Engineers and NPD individuals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Engineering Design Team, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of designs and documentation.
- Issue manufacturing drawings and Bills of Material, and check calculations in drawings.
- Post manufacturing details to ERP/OPERA and issue material requirements to the Purchasing function.
- Develop effective working relations with other teams and ensure consistent, cost-effective designs.
- Ensure documentation, including manuals, is up to date and compliant with quality performance requirements.
Requirements:
We are looking for a highly experienced Design Office Manager with a strong background in mechanical engineering and design team leadership. You will have a HND or above qualification in a relevant discipline and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage a diverse engineering team are essential.
