We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Office Manager to join our team at Premier Technical Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of a small team of Mechanical Design Engineers and NPD individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issuing manufacturing drawings and managing the Engineering Design Team
- Posting of manufacturing details to ERP / OPERA
- Issuing material requirements to the Purchasing function
- Ensuring documentation including manuals is in place and up to date at all times
- Developing effective working relations with other teams
Requirements:
- HND or above qualified in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline
- At least 5 years previous design team leader experience ideally gained in an MHE or manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Ability to effectively organise and manage the diverse engineering team
About the Role:
This is a challenging and varied role that requires a high level of technical expertise and leadership skills. As a Design Office Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent Cost effective designs and their issue in a timely manner and their compliance with all relevant quality performance requirements.
