About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will work closely with our qualified psychologists to provide high-quality psychological services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement psychological interventions for individual clients, carers, families, and groups under the supervision of an Applied Psychologist.
  • Provide psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to other direct care staff in the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
  • Develop and deliver training to other staff in the MDT, including the preparation of materials for training.
  • Bring an understanding of psychological change processes to your role within the MDT.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with a strong academic background in psychology, preferably with a 2:1 undergraduate degree or higher. You should have experience working as an Assistant Psychologist or in a similar role, and be registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) or have the potential to register.

You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You should be able to engage with vulnerable people and work effectively in challenging circumstances.
