About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will work closely with our qualified psychologists to provide high-quality psychological services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, you will implement psychological interventions for individual clients, carers, families, and groups.
  • You will provide psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to other direct care staff in the multidisciplinary team.
  • You will develop teaching materials, including PowerPoints, and provide training to other staff in the multidisciplinary team.
  • You will bring an understanding of psychological change processes to your role within the multidisciplinary team.

Person Specification

Essential

  • You must have at least a 2:1 undergraduate degree in Psychology that allows Graduate Basis for Chartered (GBC) membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • You must have experience of working as an Assistant Psychologist or equivalent.

Desirable

  • You should have registration with the BPS.
  • You should have evidence of ongoing study and development.
  • You should have further qualifications relevant to the post.
