Senior Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Older Adult Therapeutic Service (OATS) team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention to clients with complex mental health needs.
As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will work closely with our team of mental health professionals to deliver evidence-based psychological therapies and contribute to the development of our service. You will also provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff members, ensuring the highest standards of care and practice.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of clients with complex mental health needs, using a range of assessment tools and techniques.
- Develop and implement highly specialist psychological therapies, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other evidence-based approaches.
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff members, including trainee psychologists and assistant psychologists.
- Contribute to the development of our service, including the design and delivery of training programs and the development of new therapeutic interventions.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals, including GPs, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure seamless care and coordination.
- Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
- Experience of working with older adults with complex mental health needs, including those with dementia, depression, and anxiety disorders.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, including the ability to communicate complex information to colleagues and clients.
- Strong clinical supervision and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate junior staff members.
