We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our Community Team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing psychological support and interventions to older adults with complex psychological needs.
Key Responsibilities- Under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, implement psychological interventions for individual clients, carers, families, and groups.
- Provide psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to other direct care staff in the multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and deliver training to other staff in the multidisciplinary team, including the preparation of materials for training.
- Bring an understanding of psychological change processes to your role within the multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for an individual with a strong academic background in psychology, preferably with a 2:1 undergraduate degree in Psychology that allows Graduate Basis for Chartered (GBC) membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Essential experience includes working as an Assistant Psychologist or equivalent, with a strong understanding of evidence-based practice relevant to the role.
Desirable qualifications include registration with the BPS, evidence of ongoing study and development, and further qualifications relevant to the post. We also welcome experience of working with vulnerable people, research and audit, and multi-disciplinary team working.
