As an Associate Project Manager - Business Unit Support, you will play a key role in providing world-class support to our stakeholders by partnering with the PMO to support the delivery of customer-contract technology programs and internal projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the delivery of projects through coordination, documentation, and tracking of actions, issues, risks, and decisions.
- Prepare, audit, and monitor projects in the gating life cycle to ensure process adherence.
- Partner with PMs to forecast, track, and report project financials.
- Compile weekly updates, monthly reports, and portfolio metrics for project/program status, relevant project information, and governance gathered from multiple sources.
- Maintain the PMO document repository and process library.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, document, and distribute minutes and project information.
- Ensure projects and programs adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Collaborate with PMO teammates to grow within the role and adhere to common techniques and practices.
- Collaborate across the organization to gather relevant information needed to support projects.
- Champion the project management methodology, processes, and tools across the organization.
- Manage small-scope/low complexity projects as called upon.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a project coordinator, administrator, Jr. PM, or similar role within a PMO.
- Strong knowledge of the project management life cycle, methodology, and processes.
- Experience working with multi-disciplined technical teams.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Expertise in documentation, presentation, and project management tools required.
- Expertise in MS Office tools: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, and Project.
- Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across Verra Mobility.
