The primary objective of this position is to deliver Procurement assistance across essential expenditure categories overseen by direct procurement, including Rx CMO / API / capital equipment and FM services.
Collaborate with the Senior Director of Direct Procurement to formulate and execute strategies aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness of the Procurement division, driving substantial Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) advantages for the organization through Category Management and Supplier Relationship Management processes.Engage with Senior Category Managers and the Senior Director of Procurement across all significant expenditure categories to achieve TCO benefits through the introduction and execution of comprehensive Category Management strategies.
Contribute to the establishment of a three-year savings pipeline, identifying both immediate opportunities and long-term savings initiatives.Assist in the deployment of a robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework across all key categories, including the establishment of contractually defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) designed to meet or surpass TCO benefit targets.
Participate in the risk management strategy across all key categories, developing suitable risk mitigation plans to ensure uninterrupted supply.
Provide direct assistance to the Senior Director of Procurement in designing and implementing innovative processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency of the procurement organization.
Possess extensive knowledge and experience in Direct Procurement categories.Background in the Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences sector or any other regulated industry is essential.
Proven experience in managing Direct Procurement expenditure through formal Category Management frameworks.
Ability to identify risks and develop/implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
Strong analytical and data management capabilities.
