Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead People Strategist for a 9-month fixed-term maternity cover. This position is part of our People Team, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer and overseeing the People Partner team.
You will collaborate with Funding Circle's leadership to identify, develop, and implement HR strategies that align with business goals. You will grasp the essential priorities and actively contribute to a People agenda that bolsters the organization while reflecting our values and enhancing our culture.
Please note that there is an expectation that this role will be in our London office a minimum of two to three days per week, and the successful candidate needs to be able to attend the office more if required.

Key Responsibilities

  • The primary project you will oversee is our performance and salary review cycle. This entails collaboration with Senior Leadership and all People team functions to ensure a fair and efficient process that recognizes high performance.

In addition to this:

  • You will contribute to our DEI roadmap and initiatives, leveraging previous experience to help establish sustainable and accessible programs and practices.
  • Championing company culture, ensuring all people initiatives, solutions, and programs are reflective of the organization’s values.
  • Collaborating within the People Partner team to lead and support the resolution of complex and/or high-risk people issues.
  • Leading and driving specific and ad-hoc projects related to organizational design and other people change processes.
  • Utilizing data and analytics to inform trends, identify appropriate interventions, and measure impact.
  • Acting as a business partner to other People functions; working closely with People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and Total Reward to ensure a seamless people experience for the organization.
  • Proactively addressing challenges, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues, or control weaknesses that arise in your daily operations.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Senior People Partner or People leadership role (10 years preferred).
  • Experience supporting multiple senior executives with the ability to cultivate trusted relationships, credibility, and influence.
  • Knowledge of local laws and regulations in the UK and experience in managing complex employee relations issues.
  • An analytical mindset, capable of delving into detail with People data to extract insights. Must be comfortable using spreadsheets and creating pivot tables, v-lookups, and other basic formulas.
