About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baler Operator to join our team at Biffa, a leading business in the waste management industry. As a Baler Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our baler equipment, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate baler equipment to process waste materials, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain good 5S standards in and around the baler area, adhering to company health and safety standards.
  • Complete daily paperwork, including bale counts and defect checks, to ensure accurate records and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, promoting a positive and safe working environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in operating industrial equipment, preferably in a waste management or recycling environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
