About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baler Operative to join our team at Biffa, a leading waste management company in the UK. As a Baler Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our baler and fixed plant facilities, while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate baler and fixed plant equipment to process waste materials
  • Maintain good 5S standards in and around the baler area
  • Work to company health and safety standards and procedures
  • Complete daily bale counts and defect checks, as well as other administrative tasks as required

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of operating fixed plant equipment in an industrial environment
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and procedures
  • Experience in the waste or recycling industry is an advantage
