Job Summary:

Pertemps Sheffield is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, ensuring that orders are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the warehouse team, including assigning tasks, creating work schedules, and monitoring employee performance.
  • Ensure that orders are processed and fulfilled in a timely manner, including processing distribution orders and production picklists.
  • Maintain a safe and productive work environment, including ensuring that the warehouse is well-organized and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including interacting with clients and ensuring that the warehouse meets their needs and expectations.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure that all aspects of the business are running smoothly.
  • Handle paperwork and administrative tasks, including creating and maintaining records using a computer.

Requirements:

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and experience with inventory control and management.
  • Excellent PC skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Diligence and attention to detail.
  • Professionalism and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

The hourly rate for this position is £13.00-£14.00 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to the hourly rate, you will accrue holiday pay, which is based on 2 days per month on a 40-hour week. You will also be enrolled in an optional pension scheme and will receive Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) if you are absent from work due to illness.
